Are you an experienced legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced law office environment? You might be just what we're looking for as our next personal injury legal assistant.
We need someone to assist our clients when our attorneys and paralegals are busy.
You'll be in charge of managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings and travel, and informing our legal team of upcoming deadlines.
You'll also order medical and billing records.

Responsibilities:
Ordering medical and billing records and electronically filing in state and federal courtsCommunicate with medical professionals, clients, and other suppliers in addition to expert witnessesAnswer phones, communicate with opposing attorney offices, take dictation, respond to emails, and remind the team of deadlineso Communicate with doctor offices, hospitals, opposing attorney offices, and respond to emailso Maintain highly organized client case files (physical and electronic)o Assist the Pre-Litigation team with overflow work when time permitso Contact auto and health insurance companies to verify coverage and send letters of representationo Follow up on pending requests for demand-ready clientso Open claims with insurance companieso Perform general office duties as requestedo Office hours are 9:
00 am to 5:
00 pm; flexible position hours to be discussed during the interview process
Qualifications:
An Associate's degree or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required1-2 years of prior experience in a personal injury law firm as a secretary or administrative assistantMust be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working with all Microsoft Office productsApplicants must have excellent communication and organizational skillso Paralegal certificate is preferred but not requiredo Proficient in Microsoft Office productso Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlineso 1-2 years in a prior personal injury law firm is preferred but not requiredAbout Company:
